Whilst studying at Chelsea College of Arts I was one of 4 students given the opportunity to participate in a residency in Guadalajara. I collaborated with Mexican artists Mai De Alba and Li Yue to create an interactive video installation investigating gentrification in Mexico and the UK. Using construction materials - scaffolding and plastic - shrouded in sheer fabric, we constructed an environment for the viewer to inhabit symbolizing both the shiny veneer of 'regeneration' in London and the possible corruption surrounding building works in Guadalajara. 3 video projections visualised each artist's view of Guadalajara and the interplay between the city and its people.
